El Puig (Valencia) presenta un clima mediterráneo con una topografía muy curiosa con dos montes alrededor de los cuales se desarrolla la localidad. En concreto la localización del proyecto se encuentra en una zona residencial de baja densidad rodada y orientación nor-este.
The Puig (Valencia) presents a Mediterranean climate with a very curious topography with two mountains around which the town develops. Specifically, the location of the project is in a residential area with low density and north-east orientation.
El espacio presenta un desuso acuciado, pese a tener mobiliario y vegetación no representa un espacio agradable para el paso y descanso. Su geometría asimétrica, pero sin pendiente permite una remodelación completa.
The space has an acute disuse, despite having furniture and vegetation does not represent a pleasant space for passage and rest. Its asymmetrical geometry, but without slope allows a complete remodeling.
Las estrategias para el diseño pasaban desde la reinterpretación y representación del entorno del pueblo, sus montes y bancales, la conexión al mar; junto a la reforma cohesiva, con nuevos usos para el descanso y disfrute, con una vegetación escogida para variar a lo largo del año dando como resultado varios paisajes a lo largo del año.
The strategies for the design pass from the reinterpretation and representation of the surroundings of the town, its mountains and terraces, the connection to the sea; next to the cohesive reform, with new uses for rest and enjoyment, with a vegetation chosen to vary throughout the year resulting in several landscapes throughout the year.
El diseño final de estos dos espacios reformados reinterpreta la topografía identitaria del Puig. La parte oeste representa el centro antiguo y los dos montes que lo rodean mientras que la parte este representa la conexión con el mar.
The final design of these two renovated spaces reinterprets the identity topography of Puig. The western part represents the old center and the two surrounding mountains while the eastern part represents the connection with the sea.
